Leading complex projects in a fast-growing scale-up contributing to a more sustainable world through protein innovation
Role
As Head of Projects, you will oversee ENOUGH’s entire CAPEX portfolio. You will lead the execution of large-scale investment projects, monitoring timelines and budgets while aligning with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best results. Your projects will directly impact ENOUGH’s growth and operational effectiveness.
You will define strategic direction, rigorously evaluate each step in the process, and decide what resources are needed—internal or external. You will drive ENOUGH’s ambitious plans forward and position yourself as an engaged leader and coordinator.
Your responsibilities?
- Manage large-scale CAPEX projects from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate closely with carefully selected internal and external partners.
- Safeguard project scope, timelines, and budgets—making adjustments as needed.
- Integrate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, food safety, and HSE standards.
- Coordinate resource planning in cooperation with the project controller.
- Lead reviews at each project phase up to operational handover.
- Monitor technical performance and intervene promptly when deviations arise.
- Help develop installations that operate optimally within our production environment.
Profile
- You hold an engineering degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, biochemical, or industrial engineering as a starting point.
- Additionally, you have at least 5 years of project management experience in the food or process industry.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously—especially CAPEX budgets ranging from €50,000 to €10 million—is highly valued.
- You bring a broad and critical perspective. In this role, you’ll be the “devil’s advocate” where needed, but your shared commitment to ambitious goals will unify all stakeholders.
- You demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- You are fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Nice to haves:
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) and process safety
- Basic understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and utilities (e.g., steam, compressed air, CIP/SIP)
