Position

Driving Strategic Growth & Global Commercial Performance

As the Head of Sales Excellence, you define, implement, and continuously elevate Van de Velde's global Sales Excellence strategy to ensure that they remain a leader in the premium fashion segment. You possess a sharp analytical eye for the full sales funnel, identifying untapped opportunities and transforming strategic initiatives into measurable commercial growth. By leading a diverse team of specialists and trainers, you ensure that every touchpoint, from wholesale, Digital to D2C, strengthens Van de Velde's brand experience and commercial effectiveness.

You are responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership: Defining and executing a global Sales Excellence roadmap in synergy with B2B, D2C, Digital, and Merchandising teams.
  • Performance Optimization: Mastering the full sales funnel to translate actions into ROI, boosting conversion rates and turnover across all channels.
  • Process Innovation: Streamlining tools, systems, and "ways of working" to enhance productivity and modernize the sales journey.
  • Capability Building: Leading the Van de Velde Academy, overseeing the design and delivery of high-impact training programs for international sales teams and retail partners.
  • Team Empowerment: Managing and coaching the Sales Excellence Coordinator and a team of seven international Trainers, fostering a culture of curiosity and excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with the Head of Sales Merchandising to align commercial strategies with brand ambitions. You report to the CCO.

Profile

You are a visionary leader with a pragmatic "can-do" attitude. You excel at building bridges between diverse departments and international markets, moving effortlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. Your leadership style is empowering, and you thrive in environments that value continuous learning and innovative thinking.

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in an international sales enablement or commercial excellence context, preferably in a premium product or branded environment.
  • Leadership: At least 5 years of proven experience in leading, developing, and inspiring professional teams.
  • Sales Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the full sales funnel and multi-channel distribution (Wholesale, Retail, Digital).
  • Technical Expertise: Mastery of sales funnel analytics, CRM implementation, and omnichannel retail KPIs.
  • Mindset: Innovative and curious, with a track record of implementing pragmatic solutions that drive impact.
  • Communication: Native-level proficiency in English; fluency in Dutch is highly advantageous for local stakeholder management as you will be working from the headquarters in Belgium.
