Position

As a member of the Pattyn Management Team, you work in close collaboration with fellow leadership, providing strategic HR insights and guidance on key decisions that impact the business both in the short and long term. Acting as a strategic business partner, you play a critical role in shaping the company’s direction and contributing to the achievement of its overall objectives.

  • As HR Director, you will play a key role in defining and executing the HR strategy of Pattyn. You have the responsibility for contributing to the development of operating company business plans, developing and executing talent management plans, ensuring effective implementation of HR programs and processes, providing change management support, and coaching managers and leaders in support of overall talent and business objectives.
  • You partner with key leaders to contribute information, analysis, and recommendations in order to establish business strategies to drive Operating Company performance.
  • You oversee full life cycle recruiting, train leaders on targeted selection tools, and ensure appropriate assessment processes are in place. You set up a network of international partners (in Duravant & external) to bring the right talent to Pattyn in the right location. You take on the recruitment process of key Management profiles.
  • You implement human resources strategies by establishing department metrics for talent acquisition, talent management, organizational effectiveness, change management, total rewards, safety and health, employee relations, and compliance.
  • You ensure organizational announcements and business changes are communicated timely. You assure that the needed communication platforms are in place & managed to inform all employees of all Pattyn sites & locations.
  • You drive the annual performance review process, merit planning and compensation conversations.
  • In close alignment with the President of Pattyn and the HR Leadership of Duravant, you will actively contribute to initiatives and cross-functional projects that support profitability and value creation across the group.
  • You will lead and further develop a team of HR professionals, creating an environment where ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement are embedded in the way of working.

Profile

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or have equivalent work experience.
  • You have a proven track record as a HR Director in a complex industrial and international environment with a minimum of 10-years’ experience.
  • You have proven leadership skills in coaching, inspiring, and developing both the HR team and senior management.
  • You are a hands-on professional who thrives on operational execution and is field-based.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of labor law, compliance, and HR-regulations, with the ability to proactively prepare the organization for legislative changes.
  • You are a critical challenger and a true asset to the company and its long-term strategy.
  • In terms of personality, you stand out for your decisiveness, leadership, and integrity. Communication and stakeholder management are among your key strengths. Additionally, you are entrepreneurial, punctual, and flexible, allowing you to operate effectively at different levels.
  • You are proficient in Dutch, French and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus. You will effectively act as a mediator and advisor.
  • You have an international mindset and are willing to work abroad (approximately 35%).
