Project Manager

Clients of Gemdax span the entire supply chain, including: government organizations, mining companies, diamond traders and processors, trade/pan-industry organisations, and service providers. Gemdax assists its client to develop sustained, long-term competitive advantage and profitability in a rapidly changing industry environment. Their expertise covers business strategy, analytics and economic modelling, organisational change, stakeholder management, marketing and promotional activities. They also support the implementation of strategic objectives. To further enhance the growth of their organization, Gemdax is looking for a Project Manager:

Senior consultant aspiring to develop and grow within the diamond industry

Position

Your goal is to lead impactful consultancy projects in the diamond industry. As a Project Manager within the consultancy team you build strong client relationships, manage projects from start to finish, and work with a team of experts to solve complex issues. You engage with top industry specialists and drive change in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with clients, guiding them through project lifecycles from A to Z and act as a preferred point of contact.
• Identify clients' issues, form hypotheses, design and conduct analyses proactively with your team of highly skilled industry experts, market analysts, and junior consultants.
• Lead market research initiatives, develop market intelligence, conduct deep dive studies, help design and moderate conferences, and provide strategic advice on risks and market changes.
• Leverage available resources (internally and externally) to deliver outputs successfully as per agreed timelines and Gemdax quality standards.
• Translate market analysis and collected intelligence into structured, coherent insights and present them to various audiences (from industry executives to public audiences) in the form of presentations, industry reports, workshops, etc.
• Engage with external industry specialists and various stakeholders across the diamond sector as an expert in your field.

In this role, you report directly to the leaders of Gemdax consulting service line.

Profile

You are interested in and willing to learn and grow in the diamond industry. Prior experience in the industry is a plus but not required. A willingness to learn and grow in this industry is however essential. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are able to smoothly build a relationship with various client stakeholders. In addition, you have:

• a bachelor or master degree and already have +3 years of relevant work experience as a business & process analyst/ functional analyst/ consultant/ project manager/ ... .
• strong analytical skills and you are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• excellent communication skills in English (oral and written); additional languages are a plus.
