An Assessment Center might sound intimidating, but at Hudson it’s all about opportunity. We want to get to know you better: how you think, work, and collaborate. This helps us gain a clear understanding of your talents and how they can best be applied in a professional context.
An assessment center isn’t a test you need to pass — it’s a chance to show who you are. At Hudson, we use this method to objectively and professionally map out your talents, skills, and potential. It allows us to look beyond your CV and interview. We want to understand how you think, act, and collaborate in situations that resemble real job scenarios. This helps us assess whether a role truly suits you — and whether you’re a good fit for the organization.
An assessment center is a structured day during which you complete various tasks, either individually or in a group. You’ll receive a clear schedule and practical information in advance. The assessment takes place either at one of our offices or online, depending on the assignment.
Depending on the assignment and profile, an assessment center includes several components. We use scientifically validated methods and tests, such as:

Everything is designed to identify your strengths and growth potential. The entire process takes place in a professional and respectful setting, with attention to your unique profile.
During a Hudson assessment center, we evaluate a wide range of competencies — always tailored to the role and organization you’re applying for. These competencies are grouped into five domains:
🔎 Managing Information: How do you process data, ideas, and insights to reach clear conclusions or solutions?
🔎 Managing Tasks: How do you plan and organize your work to achieve results efficiently and purposefully?
🔎 Managing People: How do you lead others in a managerial context, and how do you take responsibility?
🔎 Managing Interpersonal Relationships: How do you build and maintain professional relationships, for example with colleagues, clients, or partners?
🔎 Managing Yourself: How do you handle your own performance, development, and resilience?
These competencies form the foundation of the assessment program, which we tailor in consultation with the client. This allows us to objectively assess your strengths and areas for growth.
You don’t need to prepare as if for an exam. We mainly want to see how you respond spontaneously and apply your strengths. There’s no need to study specific content.
✔️ It does help to start the day well-rested and focused.
✔️ Read the practical information carefully and ensure a quiet environment (for online participation).
✔️ Most importantly: be yourself. Authenticity and spontaneity matter more than perfect answers.
After the assessment, you’ll always receive personal feedback. We take the time to discuss your strengths and development areas, and provide insights you can actively work with. Even if you’re not selected for a role, you’ll receive valuable input about your profile and potential. This way, the assessment remains a learning experience — regardless of the outcome.
