To support its EMEA operations from its Antwerp hub, Artemyn is looking to appoint a Finance Director EMEA.
As Finance Director EMEA, you will lead the EMEA Finance organization and play a key strategic role within the business. Acting as a trusted advisor and challenger to senior management, you will support and influence key business and policy decisions.
In close collaboration with the regional Vice Presidents and the management team, you will contribute to the achievement of both financial and non-financial objectives. You will also be responsible for building a high-performing finance function by optimizing the structure, processes, and effectiveness of the local finance teams across the region.
Leadership & Organization
- Lead the EMEA Finance team, consisting of three Finance Managers based across various European hubs and one FP&A Analyst.
- Challenge and optimize the existing organizational structure to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices in internal controls, governance, and financial processes, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Accounting, Reporting & Consolidation
- Oversee and continuously improve accounting systems and processes to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable financial information.
- Manage monthly financial reporting, including P&L statements, cash flow reporting, and variance analyses.
- Coordinate relationships with external auditors and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Develop robust business plans, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with the FP&A Analyst.
- Monitor financial performance, identify areas requiring corrective action, and support decision-making through financial analysis.
- Evaluate capital expenditure (CapEx) proposals and investment opportunities.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of data across BI and finance systems.
Treasury, Cash Management & Tax
- Optimize cash flow through effective management of receivables, payment processes, and inventory levels.
- Assess and secure external financing solutions where appropriate.
- Ensure tax compliance across the region and support efficient tax planning initiatives.
Profile
For this position, we are looking for a driven and results-oriented finance leader with a strong financial background and the ability to strategically support the business through sound financial guidance and operational excellence.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within an international industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise across both Accounting and FP&A, with the ability to translate financial insights into strategic business actions.
- Analytical, forward-thinking, and performance-driven, with a strong focus on cash flow, working capital optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on, self-starting, and entrepreneurial mindset; able to take ownership and bring structure to a growing organization.
- Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
- Based in Antwerp, with limited travel requirements.
