Our client is a family owned scale up initiative whereby within a period of only 3.5 years they have been able to establish a solid business (mainly through acquisitions) by providing services within the medical care environment with a gross margin of EUR 25 mio and staff exceeding 200 pp.

Your responsibilities

In order to go the next level of development, the leadership has decided to strengthen its management layer and is looking to recruit a (m/f) Chief Finance & M&A Officer (CFMO)

Dynamic, entrepreneurial and hands-on finance professional with excellent interpersonal skills and an ambition to grow within the medical care industry

The incoming CFMO core priorities for 2021 will be:

  • To take ownership of the finance department:
    • Optimize internal processes and procedures and continue to drive efficiency
    • Structure the team for performance and growth
    • Rethink and roll out (i) an insightful monthly analytical KPI reporting system and install adequate business control processes
  • To drive external growth in partnership with the business development director:
    • Assist in drafting the strategy for external growth
    • Implement growth plan
    • Spar with the business development team for add-on acquisitions (valuation, financial assessments of the potential partners, due diligence, contracts, etc.)
  • To lead on capital structure and funding (both shareholders management and debt funding)
  • Be a strategic sparring partner for top management (and the board) in matters linked with shareholder value

You will be a member of the executive committee, operating next to and in close partnership with the General Manager, and initially reporting to the Executive Chairman.

Profile

  • You have a higher (university) degree e.g. commercial engineer, economics or equivalent
  • You have at least 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience ideally in a big 4, a private equity or in a finance team of an international healthcare or services organization; with at least 3 years of end responsibility for finance (at business unit level as a minimum) and a relevant experience in M&A;
  • You have a structured approach to tackling problems and execute in a pragmatic manner solutions;
  • You are perfect bilingual French and Dutch and you have an excellent command of English
  • You are a dynamic and ambitious individual, exposing entrepreneurial spirit and you feel at ease in a SME environment. “Can do” and being hands-on are key in order to be successful!
  • You are an excellent people manager with the ability to inspire, convince and lead people
  • Knowledge of the healthcare services sector and private equity industry are pluses
