Position

Hands-on CFO with strong background in management reporting and strategic planning within an international environment

  • As Finance Director for the EMEIA region, you are responsible for establishing and implementing a regional strategy, financial forecasts, monitoring and analyzing (financial and operational) performance against goals:
    * You consolidate and present financial results and key performance indicators to the EMEIA and Global Leadership Team.
    * You analyze working capital, sales, orders, pricing,... of a broad mix of products and customers based upon a sound business understanding. You dare to challenge and manage to smoothly make the link between key cost and performance initiatives and the P&L across the departments.
  • In addition to day-to-day management, you lead the management reporting and a thorough preparation of monthly reporting meetings with global BAC and Amsted Group, which entails a detailed reporting that is closely aligned with the business.
  • You lead risk management, credit and collection for BAC in the areas of accounts receivable, contracts and other receivables and lead all audit and internal control operations. You also maintain the relationships with banks and insurance companies.
  • You are in charge of the EMEIA region fiscal year planning process and drive the improvements in the financial reporting metrics.
  • You play an important role in supporting the SAP implementation and guiding your department towards a more processed-based way of working.
  • As a real people manager, you get the best out of your experienced teams with 3 direct reports: General Accounting (7 FTEs), Cost Accounting (3 FTEs) and Risk Management (4 FTEs).
  • You will be part of the EMEIA Leadership Team and join a matrix organization where you will report directly to the VP and Managing Director EMEIA and in dotted line to the Global Controller. 

Profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in economics/finance and have at least 10 years of working experience within a similar function with end responsibility within an international matrix organization, preferably in manufacturing industry or industrial capital goods production.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX is a must. Also experience in a successful SAP implementation and the ability to lead the team through a digital transformation is preferred..
  • You think and work cross-functionally and display a strong business acumen.
  • You adopt a hands-on, flexible and can-do mentality with a custom-oriented mindset.
  • You demonstrate strong communication skills with different stakeholders (investors, management, team level).
  • You show to be a driven people manager who knows how to build and inspire strong teams. You are familiar with the challenges of staffing, talent management and employee relations.
  • You demonstrate initiative and can make decisions based on a thorough analysis to solve occurring problems.
  • You have a very good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch, French or other languages is definitely an asset.
  • You are willing to travel up to 25% of your time, mainly within the EMEIA region.
