GDPR at Hudson

Due to the nature of our services, data protection is of a particularly high priority for us. As a client or a candidate, you can be assured that at Hudson, your personal data is safe at all times and that we always handle it with greatest care.

Our clients are always our top priority

The processing of personal data is an essential fact for Hudson within the context of the various HR services that we provide to our clients. ‘Clients’ to us is a broad concept, because it also includes our ‘candidates’. It might be applicants searching for a new job via Hudson, but also employees who are on a development track or are following a coaching or outplacement programme.

Even higher standards

With the arrival of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Hudson has expended even more effort on Data Protection. For some of our processes, this required a (partially) new approach. This immediately gave us the opportunity to implement even higher standards, that more than ever enable us to put quality before quantity. The protection and confidential handling of personal data was already embedded in Hudson’s DNA. It has been a permanent value within our organisation for more than 30 years.

Investing in IT security

We have also raised our systems and processes to a higher level in terms of IT security. On the one hand, to guarantee the security of our digital solutions and on the other hand to guarantee the protection of our clients’ and candidates’ data. We continue to invest in order to further optimize and automate our processes related to Data Protection.

Within Hudson we have already rolled out the following:

  • New Privacy Policies and Notices;
  • Consents are requested when Hudson acts as the processing controller.
  • DPA (data processing agreement) for each type of service provided to our clients. In view of the wide scope of HR solutions, we have a DPA tailored to each type of service (recruitment, assessment/development, coaching, consulting etc.).
  • Privacy by Design: when designing new systems and procedures we comply with the regulations on data processing and protection from the very beginning.
  • The creation of awareness and alertness amongst our own employees.

We continue to evaluate our processes and fine-tune them further in terms of GDPR. For us this is an ongoing process that is included in our business strategy.
