Function

  • You will be responsible for leading the purchase and sourcing functions to minimize overall cost and ensure continuity and timeliness of supply while improving supplier quality, supply chain reliability and flexibility and overall supplier service.
  • You are responsible for developing, maintaining and managing the divisional organizational structure required to define and execute relevant procurement strategies.
  • In the scope of procurement categories assigned (Vegetables, Fruits, Ingredients, indirect procurement), you will develop and execute the procurement strategy.
  • Deliver the division procurement strategy in line with the overall procurement strategy, and translate into an operational purchasing planning.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and lead the implementation of programs that partner with key stakeholders across the different Business Units and across the different divisional departments (such as Quality, S&OP and Finance).
  • Lead, manage and develop the best in class procurement organization
  • Participate actively or take the lead in purchasing projects in close collaboration with the requesting entity or department.
  • Implement a comprehensive Supplier Relationship Management program to effectively manage suppliers to maintain the highest standards for quality, delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • In the scope of procurement files, review and challenge traditional ways of working in order to continuously improve customer service, operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Research and evaluate new source opportunities within assigned categories and support the divisional and local category teams in the implementation.
  • Support specific procurement projects by adding project management capabilities and intelligence on a support basis.
  • Proactively establish and implement short and long-term goals, strategic plans, policies and procedures for the divisional Procurement department aligned with the Group performance metrics.

Profile

  • You hold a master degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an analytical role (finance, project management, sourcing & procurement)
  • You have a minimum of five years of procurement experience, ideally in an international role and/or infrastructure categories
  • You are fluent in communication, both in French and English. Knowledge of Dutch or another European language is a plus.
  • You have knowledge of trends and growth opportunities in the sector (fruits and vegetables).
  • You have good negotiation skills, an out-of-the-box mindset, and a critical-analytical thinking
  • You are a strong people manager who can inspire others through your expertise, encouraging your team to work innovatively and efficiently.
  • You are result-oriented and action-driven. Additionally, you assist in managing changes within the team.
  • Your ability to solve problems and drive change will be key to your success. You will engage and support internal stakeholders and a diverse group of external suppliers and partners.
