Senior Construction Manager

Function

Your mission will be to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for the conception, drawing up, budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects. The objective is to provide the customers of the group with accessible and functional buildings, while taking financial, environmental, and legal constraints into account.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Select, coordinate and direct construction subcontractors.
• Meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Review the work progress on a daily basis.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, participate in drafting contracts and obtaining permits and licenses.
• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Profile

• You have obtained a master’s degree in civil or industrial engineering or in architecture.
• You have at least 10 years of experience in construction site supervision and/or in architecture. You also have a strong experience in project management.
• The knowledge of the AutoCAD software is a real plus.
• You are willing to travel across Europe from time to time.
• You can inspire and manage a team of colleagues with your enthusiasm and expertise. Management experience is a welcome plus.
• You are a team player, a solid person, a hard worker, with a well-developed sense of quality and precision.
• You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
