Function

  • You are responsible for the sales of digestive & respiratory endoscopy and cleaning & disinfection systems for the region Antwerp - Limburg and the Flemish part of Brabant. 
  • The product portfolio is highly innovative (e.g. Evis X1 endoscopy system supported by artificial intelligence) and includes different types of endoscopes (bronchoscopes, colonoscopes, gastroscopes,…) and cleaning & disinfection systems. 
  • You give support and product information towards health care professionals (endoscopists, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, endoscopy nurses, sterilization department, purchasing department, biotechnicians, …). 
  • During your onboarding, you are intensively trained on the products so you can build up technical knowledge and expertise in the portfolio, in order to assure and reinforce the company market share. Olympus has been market leader within endoscopy for several decades. 
  • You analyze the customer’s needs in order to propose the correct technical solutions. 
  • You prepare and negotiate technical offers, customized to the customer. 
  • You participate actively in the tender processes. 
  • You organize and attend demonstrations, fairs and congresses. 
  • You are responsible for your own planning and follow-up of customer visits. 
  • You keep your eyes open to get to know the market, products and competition. 
  • You are responsible for prospecting and the realization of your commercial targets. 
  • You can count on the strong know-how of your colleagues and manager. 
  • You will be coached by the Sales Manager to whom you report. 

Profile

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of commercial experience. 
  • Experience in medical devices (disposables or invest goods) and knowledge of hospital environment and healthcare trends. 
  • Experience with tender processes is an asset. 
  • Fluent user of MS Office and CRM systems. 
  • You have a native level of Dutch and you are fluent in English.  A professional knowledge of French is an extra asset. 
  • You are a commercial expert with a strong drive for results and strong negotiation skills. You are able to analyze, segment, and target key accounts, as well as maintain existing customer loyalty while prospecting for new clients. 
  • You take responsibility, are resilient and can cope with failure. 
  • You think out-of-the box and can come up with creative solutions. 
  • You have technical, IT and AI skills & interests, and are able to gain insight in complex devices.
