Position

In order to develop and manage operational support to amfori’s contracted auditing firms, scheme managers and auditors, we are currently looking to hire an Auditing Partnerships and Quality Assurance Manager.  

The primary objective of this position is to enable amfori’s members to perform due diligence for their supply chains, thereby creating value for both the members and amfori. 

As the Director of Auditing Partnerships and Quality Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality auditing services to our members. You will be responsible for managing relationships with contracted auditing partners, overseeing the auditing process to ensure compliance and quality, and driving initiatives to enhance global coverage and capacity. Additionally, you will be tasked with evaluating and contributing to benchmarking and recognition efforts for other due diligence programs. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Partnership Management: 

  • Manage the "Code of Conduct" manual and contracts with auditing firms. 
  • Make decisions regarding partnerships with auditing companies and maintain strong relationships with partners.

2. Process and Tool Management: 

  • Ensure tools are in place and functioning effectively to facilitate smooth handling of files and provide auditors with necessary access and support. 

3. Quality Assurance: 

  • Monitor the quality and conformity of auditing processes and auditors to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to standards. 
  • Conduct annual calibrations to meet requirements and define topics for improvement. 

4. Capacity Building and Revenue Generation: 

  • Collaborate with auditing partners to expand global coverage and build capacity, thereby offering more comprehensive services to members and generating additional revenue for the organization. 

5. Benchmarking and Recognition: 

  • Evaluate and contribute to benchmarking efforts and recognition of other due diligence programs to stay abreast of industry standards and best practices. 

6. Employee Development: 

  • Motivate and train employees to enhance their performance and foster their professional development, thereby contributing to the overall success of the team. 

Profile

  • Ideally, you possess a master’s degree or equivalent professional experience. 
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, quality assurance, quality management,… within ideally multinational corporations. 
  • You demonstrate relevant experience in developing audit methodologies and processes. 
  • Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be managing a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. 
  • You exhibit strong organizational and prioritization abilities, ensuring tasks are efficiently managed and completed. 
  • While prior experience in sustainability, human rights, or environmental sectors is not required, a demonstrated interest in these areas is essential. Our work directly impacts large populations of workers in developing countries, necessitating a prioritization of their needs. 
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is a prerequisite.
