Position

  • You lead a team of Key Account Managers within the hospital segment.
  • This role involves inspiring, challenging, coaching, and supporting the team to build strong customer relationships and drive sales performance.
  • You are responsible for continuously enhancing product knowledge and ensuring optimal utilization of Freestyle Libre and other Abbott Diabetes Care solutions, within Secondary Care.
  • You support the team in strategic targeting, segmentation, and effective customer engagement as key to achieving sales KPI’s and sustaining growth.
  • You contribute actively in developing the secondary care segment with key stakeholders

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyse and understand customer insights /needs, translating to optimal solutions, and projects.
  • Negotiate business opportunities and contracts.
  • Co-ordinate work of Key Account Managers across Belgium and Luxembourg and support their needs. Coach the team in tender processes.
  • Develop tactical & strategic plans to secure Abbotts market leader position in the diabetes environment.
  • Establish own network of KOL and other stakeholders within Secondary Care
  • Initiate & develop (education) projects, concepts, congresses/ symposia/ events to improve health care.

Profile

  • Bachelor / Master level in scientific or medical education, or equivalent by experience.
  • Strong commercial expertise and minimum 3 years of relevant Sales management experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficient in developing high value-added proposals and solutions.
  • Proven ability to engage and build strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders and decision-makers at senior level, such as endocrinologists and internal medicine specialists.
  • Excellent communication, listening and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to develop creative out-of-the-box solutions by challenging the status quo.
  • Inspiring people manager, skilled in fostering a positive, success-driven team spirit and entrepreneurial culture.
  • Strong business acumen, commercial drive and analytical skills.
  • Customer-Centric Driver: champion a customer-first approach by embedding client needs into all planning, driving execution, and fostering innovation to deliver a best-in-class service.
  • Trilingual in both verbal and written French, Dutch and English.
  • Experience in tender and contracts management is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the diabetes market is an added value.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suits and SAP.
